You can choose between general practice (GP) and hospital-based specialties like surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology. Doctors are among the highest-paid professionals in the world. Nurses are also among the highest-paid professionals. They provide direct patient care by assisting with diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation. They also work closely with other health care providers, such as physicians, pharmacists, and therapists.

Another important career in the medical field is a pharmacist. Pharmacists dispense medications and advise patients on the proper use of drugs. They review prescriptions and diagnose illnesses.
